A 14-year-old student from a secondary school in Bukit Baru, Melaka, tragically passed away today after collapsing while heading to the school’s canteen.
The male student, a member of the school’s volleyball team, had participated in a sporting event earlier that morning.
Despite immediate medical attention and being rushed to Melaka Hospital, he was pronounced dead.
Assistant Commissioner Christopher Patit, the Melaka Tengah OCPD, confirmed that the male student, a volleyball player, took part in a sporting event on Friday morning (March 14) before the incident occurred.
The police have classified the case as a sudden death report, pending a post-mortem examination to determine the cause.
Following the incident, family and friends expressed their grief online, struggling to accept his sudden departure.
