Anwar Flexes His Budget 2026 OOTD, Featuring A Bag Designed By Young OKU

Before dropping Malaysia’s biggest Budget, Anwar dropped his OOTD and it was 100% Made in Malaysia.

Anwar appeared in Parliament dressed in a baby blue baju Melayu, a look that balanced elegance with purpose.

According to his IG post, every part of Anwar’s outfit was locally made, each piece representing a different state and community effort across Malaysia:

  • Songkok: Produced by a local entrepreneur in Johor
  • Butang baju Melayu (buttons): Made by a businessman in Pahang
  • Baju Melayu: Crafted in Kuala Lumpur (baby blue)
  • Samping: Made by inmates at Penjara Marang, Terengganu
  • Capal (sandals): Jago brand, made by a Bumiputera entrepreneur in Kepala Batas, Penang
  • Bag: From Heart Treasures and Tanoti, designed by young OKU (persons with disabilities)

A meaningful statement through fashion

The bag used to carry his Budget 2026 document was particularly symbolic — a collaboration between Heart Treasures and Tanoti, featuring a design by young OKU talents.

The look reflected the spirit of Malaysia Madani, combining local pride, inclusivity, and the empowerment of underrepresented communities through purposeful craftsmanship.

It was a subtle yet powerful reminder that fashion, too, can reflect the values of compassion, community, and pride all stitched into the vision of a progressive Malaysia.
