Incumbent Azmin Ali has lost the Gombak seat that he held since 2008 after garnering a total of 59,538 votes.
He lost to PH candidate and former protégé Amirudin Shari, who wrested control of the seat with 72,267 votes, a resounding 12,729-vote majority.
Azmin is often associated with the infamous Sheraton Move, where he and a few PKR members defected, leading to the collapse of the PH government in 2020.
