Ampang Jaya police chief ACP Mohamad Farouk Eshak said the daycare manager was nabbed at around 1.50 pm on Sunday (Oct 3), Bernama reported.

It is understood that the 51-year-old daycare manager had three local workers, who were also at the scene.

Farouk added that the incident is believed to have happened between 8:45 am and 12:45 pm.

What’s more surprising was that investigations revealed the centre had been operating for seven years with an expired license.

The case is currently being investigated under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001 for neglect and Section 15(1) of the Immigration Act 1952 for overstaying and having an expired social pass.
