DAP Leading At State Elections, Sweeps 46 Out Of 47 Contested Seats

The Democratic Action Party (DAP) is proving to be the biggest winner in the state election, where it has won 46 out of the 47 seats it contested across six states.

The only seat they lost was Derga in Kedah, which was previously won by incumber Tan Kok Yew in 2018.

In this state election, Tan contested against PN’s Amri Wahab and independent candidate Man Basiron.

However, he lost the seat to Amri by a 3,662 vote majority, where he garnered 10,771 votes while Amri had 14,433 votes.

Despite the defeat, the PH-BN coalition is poised to retain its hold on its stronghold states of Penang, Selangor, and Negeri Sembilan.
