Fighter Jet Crashes At S’pore Airbase, Pilot Receiving Medical Attention

An F-16 fighter jet from the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) crashed at Tengah Airbase at 12:35 PM on May 8, following a problem during take-off.

The pilot successfully ejected and is conscious and able to walk, currently receiving medical attention. Fortunately, no other personnel were injured.

The RSAF has initiated a thorough investigation into the incident, with the Ministry of Defence confirming that further details will be provided as they become available.

This F-16 was a single-seat model known as the F-16C.

According to The Straits Times, it’s the fourth time an RSAF F-16 has crashed since they were first used in the late 1980s. The last crash occurred on May 19, 2004, in Arizona, USA, where a pilot lost his life.
