A netizen took to Facebook to praise the kindness of a Foodpanda rider whom she recorded helping an elderly man push his motorbike despite the sweltering heat.
I’m doing this [recording the video] because I want to praise this deliveryman for his kindness,” she said.
Slow and steady
In the clip, the rider can be seen patiently helping the man who was struggling to push his motorbike along the road near a traffic light.
The netizen was also impressed by the rider’s willingness to accompany the old man despite his walking speed while steadying one of the motorbike’s handgrip.
Netizens were extremely touched by the rider’s actions, with some commenting that he shouldn’t be criticised for delivering the customer’s order late.
Another wrote that the most important aspect in one’s life is his/her character and not the amount of money they earn by being a delivery rider.
This comes after a property agent came under heavy fire for making insensitive remarks about those who worked as food delivery riders, fishmongers and hawkers in a viral Facebook video, which he has since apologised for.
