A viral TikTok video captured the comical yet frustrating moment when a Perodua Myvi driver, after facing multiple detection failures, dramatically rammed through an RFID toll gate.
The dashcam footage by TikTok user @Papaali123 shows the Myvi smoothly approaching the toll barrier, only to encounter detection issues on the first attempt.
Undeterred, the driver reverses and tries a second time, but the gate remains unresponsive.
In a final attempt, the driver grows visibly frustrated.

After failing again, the Myvi crashes through the barrier, signaling the driver’s impatience with the faulty system.
The video, posted on Wednesday (Oct 16), has garnered over 400k views as of press time, with netizens expressing mixed opinions on RFID technology.
One wrote: “Those who have been using Smart Tag for a long time are here! It’s been stable all this while. But now in Kedah, all of them have been replaced with RFID.”
“Sometimes the sticker doesn’t stick properly,” another wrote.
“RFID is really, really, really troublesome,” one added.
