It’s officially the end of the road for Miss Universe Malaysia

KUCHING – Malaysia’s representative at the 69th Miss Universe competition, Francisca Luhong James, bade farewell to her Miss Universe journey after failing to make it to the Top 21 at the finals today.

Out of 74 contestants, representatives from Colombia, Peru, Australia, France, Myanmar, Jamaica, Mexico, Dominican Republic, United States, Indonesia, Argentina, India, Curacao, Puerto Rico, Philippines, Brazil, Great Britain, Nicaragua, Thailand, Costa Rica and Vietnam managed to book a spot at the Top 21 pageant list.

Meanwhile, contestants from Mexico, India, Brazil, Dominican Republic and Peru emerged as the Top 5 in the competition.

James, a Dayak native whose hails from a lineage rich with Kayan-Kenyah-Iban roots, made the nation proud with her remarkable “Kampungku” costume during the National Costume round last Friday (May 14).
