Lady Gaga Announces Exclusive 4-Day Concert In S’pore, Skips M’sia Entirely

Singapore has once again secured itself as the go-to spot for global superstar concerts, with Lady Gaga announcing an exclusive four-day performance in the Lion City.

The pop icon, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, will be hitting the stage at the Singapore National Stadium on May 18, 19, 21, and 24 as part of her latest album launch, MAYHEM.

Singapore gets an exclusive deal

Lady Gaga took to social media to drop the announcement, writing:

MAYHEM Singapore! Singapore National Stadium 18, 19, 21, and 24 May.”

MAYHEM marks Lady Gaga’s seventh studio album and features 14 tracks, including Die With A Smile (featuring Bruno Mars) and Abracadabra, both of which have already gained massive global traction.

What makes this even bigger? Reports suggest that Singapore’s government has struck a deal with Lady Gaga’s team, ensuring that her world tour will not be stopping in any other Southeast Asian country.

This move mirrors the controversy surrounding Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour, where Thailand’s Prime Minister, Srettha Thavisin, claimed that Singapore secured exclusive rights to her ASEAN shows, leaving other countries out.

Huge economic impact

With Lady Gaga’s Singapore-only concert, the country is set to rake in some serious cash. Estimates predict an economic boost ranging between USD 260.3 million and USD 371.9 million (approx. RM1.2 billion to RM1.7 billion).

As such, Singapore is solidifying its status as the ultimate concert hub, while the rest of Southeast Asia watches from the sidelines.
