M’sian Man From Viral ‘Silat vs Kung Fu’ Toll Fight Now Wanted By Police

The man who went viral for performing silat moves in a toll plaza standoff is now on the police wanted list.

The Penang police released a public notice identifying Mohd Shakirin bin Rejab, 32, as a person wanted for investigation under Sections 323 and 506 of the Penal Code for allegedly causing hurt and criminal intimidation.

Also known by nicknames Kirin, Bain, Baim, or Bien, Shakirin was one of two men caught on video in a dramatic standoff at the Batu Kawan toll plaza on May 30, where he was seen in a sarong, wielding a weapon and striking silat poses.

The other man responded with kung fu-style stances, and the fight ended when a third individual intervened.

According to reports, the man fled the scene and later abandoned his blue Perodua Bezza (RY5621) in Gurun, Kedah.

He has been missing since.

Authorities are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact SJN Sharifah Intan Suhaira Binti Syed Ibrahim at 012-543 4747.
