Interstate travel is now forbidden due to the ongoing nationwide Movement Control Order (MCO), and roadblocks are placed across all major route to make sure everyone comply with the SOPs.
Violating imposed SOPs comes with legal consequences, and many would go to the extreme to avoid being caught.
Yesterday (May 24), a video that showed a stream of cars trying to avoid a roadblock ahead by taking illegal U-turn and driving against the traffic went viral online.
The incident took place on Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway, Penang, before the entrance of the Penang Bridge, where the police has set up roadblock.
Several cars have been seen in the video to be taking illegal U-turn consecutively over a connecting junction, driving into the adjacent road and running against the traffic throughout the two-minute video.
