[VIDEO] Monstrous three-meter long crocodile caught by local fisherman at Pulau Gaya

KOTA KINABALU – A group of fishermen had their biggest catch in the form of a three-meter long crocodile at Pulau Gaya last Saturday (June 12) that was wandering within shallow waters.

Several videos of the incident uploaded on WhatsApp and Facebook caused a stir among netizens, who were amazed by the size of the creature.

After the videos went viral, locals and tourists living in the area were warned to stay away from the beach.

Thankfully, a group of fishermen teamed up and successfully caught the crocodile at around 5:50 pm.

As the crocodile was hauled back to shore, a large crowd of curious onlookers gathered around to catch a peek at it.

While some cheered for the fishermen, several brave souls inched forward and gave a slap on the crocodile’s back.

While it’s an amazing sight to see the brave fishermen catching the crocodile, we would like to advise everyone NOT to follow their example lest you return home with a missing limb. Instead, call the authorities for help immediately if you ever see a wild crocodile.
